Candy corn: do you like it or hate it? If you like it, how do you prefer to eat it?

Soooo…it’s been a little while since the last QotW. I’ll make this one easy.
Candy corn: do you like it or hate it? If you like it, how do you prefer to eat it?
Love it! I eat it from the bottom, biting off each color section as I go, trying to get right at where the sections meet.
DITTO. But I have also been known to glom an enormous amount into my gullet at once, too.
I used to love candy corn when I was a kid: but one Halloween my grandmother gave me a two-pound bag of the stuff, and being an absolute greedhead, I ate the whole thing in one night. The next day I was sick—pizza and candy corn don’t mix, fyi—and it killed whatever passion I had for the stuff.
These days I’ll nibble on one or two of them if offered. But candy corn taught me the meaning of the word ‘temperance.’
I love the IDEA of candy-corn. In my head, they are little cones of autumnal awesomeness. And every October I grab a handful and inhale them and then remember they are gross.
Sadly, by the following October, I’ve forgotten the lesson of the previous year.
I love them…but in small doses, and I already had my dose this year.
I always break off the white tip. You know it’s good candy corn if it breaks off pretty cleanly.
I much prefer the white yellow and orange kind to the kind with the faux chocolat at the bottom.
I like them–the regular ones, not the weird flavor ones, and not the chocolate ones.
And in moderation. They’re pretty much all sugar, with something to stick it together, and too much sweet makes me feel bleh.
You have to eat them in sections. White first, then orange, then yellow. Cranky’s right, you can tell how fresh it is if the white breaks off clean.
I only eat them a few at a time, in sections.
Jamming a whole mouthful in is toooooo sweet.
Also, they make good fangs when they’re still squishy, but not when they get stale.
stale? stale candy corn? I can’t even imagine what that would be like, I guess I never had then around long enough….
I’ve found Easter, Thanksgiving, and Christmas versions, but usually eat it just for Halloween and Thanksgiving. Supposedly, candy corn sales are highest at Halloween, but I figured long ago it was a fitting and welcome break from the typical Thanksgiving fare. (As others have said, it works better for me in moderate, measured doses anyways.)

I love it. I will eat it right out of a bowl until I feel sick.
Ummm……..like it less than I used to. When it’s good it’s very good. But sometimes the texture is very waxy and the flavor’s weak. Ack.
Now you’ve got me wanting some…LOL
I think candy corn is cute. I cannot remember what it tastes like, to be honest. But I think that I would like to get 5lbs of candy corn and let Sprocket play in it while I take pictures. And then I can give the candy corn to my brother to eat. 🙂
